Jammu, Anantnag and Srinagar Tour Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Jammu Airport or Railway station. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative and drive to srinagar Hotel .The distance is about 280 kms, will be covered in about 8 to 9 hrs. Srinagar has been described by some visitors as the Venice of the East. This beautiful city was established by Emperor Ashoka some 2300 years ago. Srinagar is a lush green valley at 5,000ft. that abounds with beautiful lakes, rivers, gardens, fruit orchards and is surrounded by mighty snow-capped Himalayan peaks. The natural beauty of the valley is enhanced by the charm and hospitality of its people . Upon arrival you will be met by our representative. He will assist and transfer you to the houseboat, later spend the day at leisure on boulevard road which one of the most famous road in Srinagar for tourists and is situated around the Dal lake surrounded by Zabarwan mountain ranges, also enjoy a 2 hr shikara ride in Dal Lake at Nehru Park on boulevard road.Dinner and Overnight stay in the Hotel

After breakfast, Start you day for site scene of the famous places in Srinagar.

Day 3
After breakfast Drive to Gulmarg "Meadow of Flowers" 2730 Mts. above sea level. The distance of 60 kms will be covered in about 2 hrs. Gulmarg has one of the best Ski slopes in the world and highest golf course of the world with 18 holes. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view enroute from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. One can also have a short trek upto Khilangmarg which can be covered in about 3 to 4 hrs or enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori on a Cable Car Known as (Gondola). Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel.

Day 4
Depart Srinagar and transfer to Kargil via ‘Sonamarg’ hill-station crossing over the world famous Zoji La pass. Along the way, visit Drass Village (popularly known as the second coldest inhabited place in the world) where you can enjoy magnificent views of the famous Kargil War peaks ‘Tiger Hill’ and ‘Tololing’. Stop for a quick tea break at ‘Vijay Smarak’ where you can pay tribute to all the soldiers who laid their lives in the 1999 Kargil War before your . Dinner and overnight stay in Kargil hotel.

Day 5
An early morning departure begins with a visit to the giant Buddha sculpture on Rock Mountain. Proceed to Alchi to take in the sights of the local gompa - famous for it’s Kashmir influenced architecture. Stop for some magic photos at the intersection of the Zangskar and Indus rivers at Sangham and takea short pit stop at the mysterious Magnetic Hill whichallows you to experience reverse gravity in action. Visiting the Sikh temple ‘Pathar Sahib’ and if time permits the ‘Hall of Fame’ war museum before your arrival just in time for dinner in Leh. Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 6
A full day of architectural sightseeing and a taste of safari drives, today begins with a lesson in Ladakhi history as you visit the ancient palace of Shey which is known for being the summer retreat place for the previous Kings of Ladakh. After a short but scenic drive you will visit Thiksey Monastery which bears a striking resemblance to the ‘Potala Palace’ in Lhasa, Tibet. Next, proceed to Hemis Gompa which is the largest, richest and most populous monastery in all of Ladakh and boasts over 1000 active monks in its many branches. You will have a number of opportunities to take photos and learn about the monks daily routine before visiting the Hemis museum where you can see artefacts dating back to the original construction of the facility in the 11th century. Return to your Leh based accommodation for Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7
An adventurous drive today with a scenic trip to the magnificent Pangong Lake. A must see destination for your time in Ladakh, Pangong Lake has been made famous by the 'Three Idiots' movie. More than half of the lake separates India from China and the appearance of the water changes colour at every angle of the sun. It makes a worthwhile overnight stopping point and makes for some amazing photographs so don’t forget your camera (and spare batteries!). One last chance for bird-watching, taking photos or just enjoying a few moments of peace and quiet before proceeding back to Leh. Reserve a few hours to browse through the local handicrafts in the bazaar or shop for souvenirs before visiting the beautiful Shanti stupa where you can take in an aerial view of Leh city and capture some magnificent photos as the sun sets over the town. Return to your Leh based accommodation for Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 8

After breakfast enjoy morning in hotel . One can also enjoy a pony ride to nearby places like Chandanwadi ( Cab on a direct hire basis) or if you are an avid nature lover you take pleasure in a peaceful walk along the River Lidder. Pahalgam is famous for some trekking routes also & is the base camp for Amarnath Pilgrimage.Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel .
